Managed Private Cloud for Microsoft Lync, an Industry First
ConnectSolutions, leaving providers of private cloud and Unified-Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) solutions for enterprise and government organisations, has released Managed Private Cloud for Microsoft Lync, a first for the industry.
Managed Private Cloud for Microsoft Lync is an enterprise-class solution designed for large, global organisations and as part of its launch, ConnectSolutions are offering a 1,000-person department rollout for just $10 per user, per month (valid until 31st January 2012), helping end users and IT staff to get use to Microsoft Lync in a safe, phased environment before enterprise-wide deployment.
The solution is deployed on ConnectSolutions’ enterprise-class UC3 Platform that runs unified communications and conferencing applications in the cloud, helping organisations gain productivity improvements and reducing communications costs in a short period of time. In addition, because it is in the cloud, there are no infrastructure or IT resource costs and the solution can be run using existing Microsoft licences.
Michael Fitzpatrick, President and CEO of ConnectSolutions, said, “Our clients are excited about Microsoft Lync and the benefits of unified communications, but they’ve asked us for a faster, easier way to get started. By delivering integrated UC applications on the UC3 Platform, we alleviate the headaches associated with managing it themselves. We’ve already built the complex global infrastructure and resolved the IT challenges associated with large-scale communications deployments. Now, we can extend these benefits to our clients in the cloud which helps IT teams be more agile.”
The UC3 Platform built by ConnectSolutions runs large-scale communication, conferencing and collaboration applications at scale as a managed private cloud, and was designed specifically for managing enterprise-class unified communication and conferencing solutions. It is a cost-effective, scalable and reliable platform for running UC applications in the cloud. Features and benefits include:
• Purpose-built for unified communications.
• Private cloud infrastructure.
• Application management.
• Security, compliance, reliability and control.
• Monitoring and performance.
• Reporting and analytics.
• Backups and disaster recovery.
• On-premise integration.
• Global data centres.
• Fully managed platform.
• Server maintenance and management.
• Performance tuning and optimisation.
• Load performance analysis.

The UC3 Platform has been built on four years of research and development, and has facilitated collaboration, enabling organisations to leverage and achieve maximum value with minimal investment.
